Smart Phone App requirement for Project Vishram
The core of 'Project Vishram' is an App for Relationship Managers (RMs) to meet the needs of the Elderly (End Users - EUs). The services (Medical/Non Medical) are facilitated by RMs. RMs could be Persons with Disabilities, housewives and/or volunteers working from home. The RMs would have Smartphones installed with 'Pull Down' menus of Apps and Telephone Nos of multiple Service Providers (SPs) of the locality.
RMs are required since most Elderly are not comfortable with Smartphones or Apps and emerging Technologies. RMs also provide the 'Human Touch' instead of an automated voice.
The EU or the care giver needs to touch the Vishram icon on the EUs Smart phone screen. To make it simple for the EU, their screen would have only a single icon of Vishram. The smartphone is preferred to a pendant or touch phone as many features can be stored and retrieved from the Smartphone if required.
A back end website on the Cloud would store/compute Individual EU's profile, advance refundable deposit for expenditures, preferences, past history, etc.
In addition the website would have the database of Registered members, RMs, Apps and Tel Nos of Service Providers with their locality. This could help to access and match the EU with the closest RM & SP using GPS. This would help the App to be kept simple.
There would be 3 Screens of Vishram linked to the back end website:
1) Elder (EU or Care Giver) screen with an icon for Vishram. When the EU touches the icon it connects to the back end website till the RM is assigned by Admin like Uber/Ola drivers or automated.
2) RM screen to show the profile of EU, Balance in the EU account, Pull down menu of SPs with Apps or Tel Nos. Ratings of SPs and EUs with comments.
3) Admin screen with access to EUs Profile, closest RMs and SPs (using GPS), Pull down menu of Apps or Tel Nos of SPs. Ratings and comments of EUs, RMs and SPs
Any of the RMs could choose to respond to any of the needs of EUs. There is no compulsion (like Uber/Ola Drivers) for any of the RMs to respond to the needs of any of the EUs. In case none of the RMs respond then it will remain as a 'Missed Call' on the Admin/RM's screen. If the RM is not able to attend or meet the EU's requirement the task could be routed back to the pool/Admin with details selected from a 'Pull down' menu.
An incentive could be worked out for RMs (like Uber/Ola Drivers) for attending to larger number of EUs. They would also qualify as Admin / Trainer for new RMs in the locality with higher remuneration.
We could have 'Free' and Premium Membership models. The main revenue is to come from commissions payable from Service Providers (SPs) when we reach a 'Critical mass' of memberships.
Vishram has a potential to be easily replicated and could be a good CSR or Business Model.
The Technology is not 'Rocket science'. Uber/Ola model, wallets like Paytm / Banks, GPS tracking would meet most of the requirements.
Artificial Intelligence (AI) and Voice activated futuristic & predictive technologies could make the task of RMs simpler. RMs would be still required to provide a Human Interface and 'Emotional Connect'.
RMs would be given a short training on the use of the Vishram App and to select the appropriate App/Tel Nos from pull down menus. All the above are with limited staffing to reduce overheads.
